WOLFFORTH The Odessa College women’s basketball team overcame a poor shooting night to hold off WJCAC rival Midland College, 58-53, in a semifinal game of the NJCAA Region V Tournament Friday at Frenship High School.
Chinna Fair scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Lady Wranglers (20-10), with Julan McDonald adding 15 and Tanaka Gapare 10 in the victory.
Odessa College will meet New Mexico Junior College in the championship game at 4:30 p.m. today.
Alexandrea Washington scored 18 points to lead the Lady Chaparrals (18-10), with Bethany Theodore finishing with 12 in the loss.
