FORT WORTH The UTPB Falcons dropped a pair of games to the Midland (Nebraska) University Warriors (6-4) 6-1 and 8-6 Saturday afternoon at Sycamore Park.
Ashlynn Williams led the Falcons (8-18) in the first game going 3 for 3 with three singles. Abby Hernandez went 2 for 3 with a single and a double.
Sloan Springfield (1-8) allowed four earned runs off six hits in four innings pitched.
In game two, the Falcons tallied six hits. Adrianna Berzoza finished 1 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Williams went 1 for 4 with a single and two RBIs.
Maritza Rojas (2-2) suffered the loss after throwing 3 2-3 innings allowing four earned runs on seven hits.
UTPB takes on Texas Wesleyan for a doubleheader today. Games begin at 10 a.m.
