COLLEGE GOLF: Odessa College tied for second after opening round of NJCAA National Championship

LUBBOCK The Odessa College golf team got off to a good start to open the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament by finishing with a team total of 5-under-par 283 at The Rawls Course Monday in Lubbock.

Will Adams led the Wranglers with a 6-under 66 to take a one-shot lead over three others in the field. Jose Dibildox opened the tournament with a 69 to stand tied for sixth place with five others. Sangha Park (73), Marcelo Garza (75) and Jaden Chavez (83) filled out the Wranglers’ card.

Odessa College is tied for second place with Midland College. Hutchinson Community College leads by three shots (280) as a team.
