COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Falcons fall behind in road loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, ARK. The UTPB men’s basketball team suffered a 78-67 loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith in Lone Star Conference play Saturday on the road.

Arkansas-Fort Smith gained the upper hand early in the contest, taking a seven-point lead into the break to take over the game’s momentum.

The Falcons were able to cut the deficit down to one point twice in the second half, but that wasn’t enough to stop the Lions from building on to their advantage.

Matthew Wilson and Chris Rollins combined for 44 points for Arkansas-Fort Smith, while Miles Daniels led the Falcons with 28 points scored.

UTPB was looking to add on to a 76-60 win over Oklahoma Christian Thursday.

The Falcons (15-11 overall, 7-7 conference) will host UT Tyler in conference play at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Falcon Dome.
