COLLEGE BASEBALL: UTPB drops a pair in the capital

AUSTIN The UTPB baseball team had a tough day, dropping a pair of games against St. Edward’s, 6-2 and 4-1, in Lone Star Conference play Saturday at Lucian-Hamilton Field.

Marcus Johnson and Gabriel Morin both hit solo home runs for the Falcons in the first game, the only hits St. Edward’s starter Luke Short allowed.

In the second game, the Hilltoppers scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and held on for the victory.
