COLLEGE BASEBALL: Lubbock Christian evens series with UTPB

The UTPB baseball team couldn’t build off its walk-off win Friday, falling 16-4 to Lubbock Christian in seven innings Saturday at Roden Field.

Six different pitchers saw action for the Falcons, with Trever Berg taking the loss. Berg pitched three innings, allowing five hits and six earned runs. Owen Woodward pitched six innings for Lubbock Christian, where he recorded seven strikeouts.

Garret Thornton went 1 for 2 for the Falcons with a home run.

UTPB will close the series against Lubbock Christian at 1 p.m. Sunday at Roden Field.
