MIDLAND The Odessa College softball team completed a sweep its four-game series against rival Midland College Saturday at the Midland College Softball Field.
The Wranglers run-ruled Midland College 9-1 in the first game and pulled away for a 14-10 victory in Game 2.
Aydenne Brown put together another complete-game effort for the Wranglers in the first game by allowing three hits and recording seven strikeouts over six innings. Illy Cisneros drove in four runs for Odessa College.
Midland College’s lone score in the contest came in the bottom of the first inning when an RBI single from Tajanae’ Davis scored Victoria Ronderos.
The second game was a closer affair, with Midland College trying to rally with late runs to stay in the contest. Morgan Brandon secured the victory for the Wranglers in the circle andCisneros again led Odessa College by driving in five runs in the second game.
