MLK CELEBRATION    The Black Cultural Council of Odessa has scheduled Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. brunch, Freedom March and candlelight vigil today. The King’s brunch will take place from 10 a.m. to noon with speaker Mari Wills, former Odessa City Councilman, at the Woodson Community Center, 1010 E. Murphy St. Freedom March line up will follow at the Southside Senior Citizens Center, 900 S. Dixie Blvd. The march will begin at 1 p.m. Prizes will be presented. The Odessa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., will present a candlelight vigil following the parade at Woodson Community Center. For vigil information, call Shelia Stevenson at 432-385-5652. MLK READING EVENTS   Volunteer Services at Medical Center Hospital will be hosting two separate reading events for children at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m. today as part of its Martin Luther King Day of Service in the South Admitting lobby. MCH volunteers will be reading a few books for the children in attendance. All children, elementary level or below, are invited to attend along with parents or guardians. Anyone coming to the event can enter through the Main Admitting entrance and simply turn right toward the south end of the lobby. FROZEN DAY  Mr. Gatti’s Pizza, 2750 N. Grandview Ave., has scheduled Frozen Day from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.
