April 7 Odessa police arrested 37-year-old Kyle Avey for two outstanding felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance, both of which are state jail felonies; and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for driving while intoxicated, second offense, a class A misdemeanor. Officers pulled over a maroon Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Avey, in the area of 42nd Street and Golder Avenue at 10 p.m. April 7. Police made contact with Avey, and investigation revealed he had three probation violation warrants out of Wichita County. Avey, 4100 Golder Ave., was released April 11 to Wichita County to face charges.
