April 6 Odessa police arrested 23-year-old Edwin Peregrino and charged him with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a state jail felony. Officers pulled over a black Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Peregrino, in the 2100 block of North Grandview Avenue at 6:30 p.m. April 6. K9 “Jimmie” conducted an open air sniff and alerted on the vehicle to the presence of narcotics. Police searched the vehicle and found a bag of methamphetamine in the center console. Peregrino, 3633 Walnut Ave., was released April 8 from the Ector County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
