Midland ISD will hold a public hearing for the Texas Annual Performance Report (TAPR) at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at James Bowie Fine Arts Academy, 805 Elk Ave., Midland.
This will ensure MISD is compliant with Texas Education Code Chapter 39, which requires each district’s board of trustees to publish an annual report that includes the TAPR, financial reports, district accreditation status, campus performance objectives, the special education determination status, information on violent or criminal incidents, and information on the performance of previous year’s graduates in their first year of college, as reported by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
The TAPR discussed in this hearing will be based on 2022-23 end-of-year accountability data.
The public hearing will occur during this month’s regular meeting of the Board of Trustees.
