Katisha Adams

April 9 Odessa police arrested 27-year-old Katisha Adams and charged her with assault on a public servant, a third-degree felony; and resisting arrest, detention or transport, a class A misdemeanor. Officers responded at 4:02 p.m. April 9 to Greyhound Bus Station, 2624 E. Eighth St., in reference to a disturbance. Dispatch advised that a woman was refusing to leave the bus station. Police arrived on scene and saw a woman who matched the suspect’s description yelling at one of the employees inside the bus station. Officers made contact with the woman and she refused to provide them with her name and date of birth. After being given several chances to give officer’s her name and date of birth, the woman was eventually detained by officers. She began to pull away from officers before dropping herself to the ground. The woman, later identified as Adams, then kicked an officer in the nose, causing the officer to experience pain, runny eyes and blurred vision. Adams, 2721 Henderson Ave., was being held April 11 at the Ector County Detention Center on $16,000 bond.
