MCKINNEY Odessa High senior Nithin Reddy had a busy morning at the Region I-6A Tennis Championships on Tuesday.
Reddy, the District 2-6A runner up, defeated Shivan Udani of Lewisville Hebron in the first round, losing the first set before rallying for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 victory at The Courts of McKinney.
That moved Reddy into the quarterfinals, where he faced 2022 state runner-up Ian Uraga of El Paso Coronado.
Uraga got the best of the matchup, winning 6-2-6-1, to advance to the semifinals.
It was the second straight trip to the regional championship for Reddy, who lost a first-round match in 2022.
