Former Odessa College women’s basketball player Okako Adika was selected by the New York Liberty in the third round of the WNBA draft on Monday in New York City.
Adika played for the Lady Wranglers from 2018-2020.
The team advanced to the NJCAA Division I Women’s National Tournament each year.
She was an NJCAA Division I First Team All-American her sophomore season at Odessa College.
Adika also earned Western Junior College Athletic Conference MVP honors that same season.
After leaving the Permian Basin, Adika played at Butler, TCU and then USC.
