Alina Castillo

April 8 Odessa police arrested 18-year-old Alina Castillo and charged her with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony. Officers responded at 1:11 a.m. April 8 to Brittany Place Apartments, 3965 Penbrook St., in reference to a disturbance. Police made contact with the complainant, who told them she saw two subjects fighting. She said that a 12-year-old girl appeared to be in fear for her safety so she allowed the girl to come into her apartment to protect her. The complainant told officers that two subjects, later identified as Castillo and a 16-year-old male, then entered her residence without permission and attempted to assault the 12-year-old girl. Police then made contact with the complainant’s husband, who told them he saw both suspects enter his residence without consent, causing a physical altercation with his wife. The complainant’s husband told both suspects to get out of his residence, and they left while making verbal threats. Both Castillo and the 16-year-old male were charged and arrested accordingly. Castillo, 3965 Penbrook St., was released April 10 from the Ector County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
