Pop artist James Gill had his opening reception Thursday evening at the Nancy Fyfe Cardozier Gallery at Charles A. Sorber Visual Arts Building at thhe University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Gill is a Texas native and a reknowned pop artist with work in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New Yoryk, The Arts Institue of Chicago, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, as well as many west coast museums and major corporations. Gill was also commissioned to paint the cover of TIME Magazine.
