The UTPB women’s basketball team held off Eastern New Mexico in a 59-57 win in Lone Star Conference play Thursday at Falcon Dome.
With the win, the Falcons pushed their current winning streak to five games as the team got its first win in 2024.
UTPB moved to 9-2 overall, 4-1 in Lone Star Conference play while Eastern New Mexico fell to 4-7, 0-5.
The Falcons were led in scoring by Andreea Mancha and Kamryn Lemon who each scored 15 points while Morgan Helgesen had 12.
The Greyhounds were led by Jaz Salon’s 21 points. She was the only player for Eastern New Mexico to score in double figures.
UTPB will return to action with a 1 p.m. game Saturday against Western New Mexico at Falcon Dome.
