LAWTON, OKLA. Katie King’s basket with two seconds remaining to play lifted Cameron to a 67-66 victory against UTPB in Lone Star Conference women’s basketball action Thursday at Aggie Gym.
King’s basket capped a comeback for the Aggies (9-5 overall, 4-0 in conference), who trailed by one at halftime and six after three quarters.
Maighan Hedge scored a game-high 25 points for Cameron, with King finishing with 13 in the victory.
Alexus Wycoff led the Falcons (4-12, 0-4) with 19 points, while Morgan Helgesen had 16 and Avalon Munoz 14 in the loss.
Helgeson’s 3-pointer with 1:23 remaining to play put UTPB in front, 66-64, but the Falcons turned the ball over with four seconds to play to set up the winning shot.
UTPB will face West Texas A&M at 2 p.m. Saturday in Canyon.
