The Odessa College women’s basketball team picked up its first win of the season Thursday, defeating Monroe College 77-65 at the OC Sports Center.
Jin Dai led the Lady Wranglers with 21 points scored on 8-18 shooting, making five 3-pointers in the process.
Taya Davis recorded a team-high 11 assists, while she tied with Ornella Niankan for the team lead in rebounds with seven.
Both Davis and Niankan also scored 10 points in the victory.
The Lady Wranglers jumped ahead early thanks to a 21-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Odessa College is set to continue nonconference play Friday, hosting Salt Lake Community College at noon at the OC Sports Center.
