TEMPLE Sockers FC completed its first road trip of the season with a second straight victory by defeating Coyotes FC 2-0 Sunday at Woodson Field.
The Sockers (2-0-1) got off to a fast start thanks to Morgan Miller’s goal in the 18th minute with an assist by Halil Yilmaz.
Alonso Rodriguez added the second goal in the 27th minute to cap the scoring. Rodriguez has scored four goals in three matches.
Sockers FC return home to face Irving FC at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland.
