COLLEGE BASEBALL: Texas Tech selected as regional host for NCAA Tournament

The Texas Tech baseball team was one of 16 teams selected to host a regional by the NCAA baseball selection committee Sunday.

The Red Raiders (36-15) will host a regional at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park for the fifth consecutive tournament and the eighth overall in program history.

Texas Tech finished third in the Big 12 and is vying for a Top 8 national seed to potentially host a Super Regional.

The three opponents for the regional and the full 64-team field will be unveiled at 11 a.m. Monday with game times still to be determined.
