NORTH AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE: Jackalopes defeat Ice Wolves in overtime

The Odessa Jackalopes defeated New Mexico in overtime Friday night at Ector County Coliseum in North American Hockey League action.

Cameron Dunn’s game-winning goal came just 48 seconds into overtime as the Jackalopes (17-21-4-2) remain in seventh place in the NAHL South Division standings with 40 points.

The Ice Wolves (21-15-6-2) sit in fifth place with 50 points.

Odessa got on the board first with Riley Rosenthal’s first period goal.

New Mexico answered back with Tyler Pfister’s goal nine minutes into the second period before the Jackalopes went back in front courtesy of a Michael Kadlecik goal just four minutes later.

New Mexico’s Luca Ricci tied things back up with three minutes left in the period and neither team could score again before the end of regulation.

Both teams will be back on the ice at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Ector County Coliseum.
