MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: RockHounds suffer third straight loss to San Antonio Missions

SAN ANTONIO The Midland RockHounds suffered a 7-3 loss to the San Antonio Missions Sunday at Nelson Wolff Municipal Stadium.

It was Midland’s third straight loss and its fifth in the six-game series against the Missions.

San Antonio was in control early, building up to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth before Max Schuemann responded for the RockHounds with a one-run single.

An RBI double from Connor Kaiser scored the Missions’ final run in the fifth, while Shane Selman drove in two runners for Midland with a line drive single to center field in the top of the ninth.

The RockHounds (19-20 overall) are currently third in the Texas League South Division standings behind the Frisco RoughRiders and the Missions.

Midland will open a six-game series against Northwest Arkansas at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Momentum Bank Ballpark.
