The West Texas Warbirds are set to play their first game in franchise history as the team travels north to face the Amarillo Venom at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Amarillo Civic Center.
The Warbirds were supposed to make their debut in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic ultimately canceled the season.
This is also the first of two consecutive meetings between West Texas and Amarillo. Both teams will play each other again June 12 at 7 p.m. at the Ector County Coliseum in the Warbirds’ home opener.
