Tourney time
The Odessa High and Permian softball teams will be getting plenty of work this weekend as they compete in their first tournaments of the season.
Permian will be in Carrollton where the Lady Panthers, coming off a 15-3 victory Tuesday against Greenwood, will play at least five games.
Odessa High, after defeating Andrews 11-17 on Tuesday, travels to compete in the Lubbock ISD First Pitch Classic.
The Lady Bronchos will face Lubbock Monterey at 3 p.m. and El Paso Chapin at 5 p.m. at Lubbock Monterey H.S. on Thursday.
Odessa High will meet Lubbock High at 3 p.m. Friday, followed by El Paso El Dorado at 5 p.m., at Lubbock High.
They close out their tournament against Borger at 3 p.m. Saturday, followed by Lubbock Coronado at 5 p.m. at Coronado’s Rosenow Field.
