HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Panthers fall on the road

KILLEEN The Permian football team suffered a 27-25 loss to the Harker Heights Knights on the road Friday night at Leo Buckley Stadium.

The Panthers now sit at 2-2 for the season while the Knights are also 2-2.

The Panthers led 6-3 after the first quarter before being outscored 14-7 in the second quarter and trailing by four at the half.

Harker Heights made it 24-13 after the third quarter and Permian’s comeback wasn’t enough.

Permian will next face Abilene Cooper on Sept. 22 on the road.
