HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Odessa High takes third at Caprock Classic

LUBBOCK The Odessa High boys basketball team finished in third place at the Caprock Classic after defeating Richland 68-65 Friday at Lubbock High School.

Coco Rose had 24 points in the contest that went to overtime after both teams were tied at 56-56 at the end of regulation.

Rose scored seven points in overtime, while LJ Willis and Ivan Carreon contributed five points to push the Bronchos to victory.

Carreon was Odessa High’s second leading scorer with 17 points in the game.

Odesssa High (17-4 overall, 1-0 District 2-6A) will play Midland Legacy at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Midland.
