HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Panthers aim to stay undefeated against San Angelo Central

The Permian baseball team will look to gain control of its District 2-6A series against San Angelo Central, hosting the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. Friday at McCanlies Field.

Permian defeated San Angelo Central 3-0 the last time the teams met on March 10 in San Angelo.

The Panthers are on a nine-game winning streak after defeating Abilene High twice March 29 and April 1.

Permian (22-3 overall, 11-0 district) leads the district standings, while San Angelo Central (6-13, 4-4) is tied for fourth with Midland Legacy.
