GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Stephens, Henderson lead Lady Bronchos past Midland High

MIDLAND Nesha Stephens and Deoshanay Henderson combined for 43 points in the Odessa High girls basketball team’s 58-44 win over Midland High Tuesday in District 2-6A play.

By the end of the first quarter, Stephens had already scored 12 points to help the Lady Bronchos establish an early lead.

The first half advantage was important for Odessa High, as both teams scored 27 points through the second half.

Noemi Arciga led the Lady Dawgs with 22 points scored in the contest.

Odessa High (15-12 overall, 4-3 district) will host San Angelo Central at 6 p.m. Friday at the OHS Fieldhouse.
