The Odessa High girls basketball team was looking to make it three in a row to open District 2-6A play.
So, too, was visiting Wolffrth Frenship.
The contest to take control of the district standings was close for the first quarter and the Lady Bronchos were withing striking distance at halftime.
After that, the Lady Tigers were in control.
Wolfforth Frenship broke the game open in the third quarter and cruised to a 66-44 victory Friday at the OHS Fieldhouse.
The Lady Tigers improved to 20-5 overall, 3-0 in district.
Odessa High is now 16-12, 2-1 and in a tie for second with Midland Legacy.
Addisyn Bollinger scored 14 points to lead Wolfforth Frenship, which has won all 13 meetings with the Lady Bronchos.
Andie Caddel finished with 13 points in the victory, with Kiah Buchanan chipping in 10.
Deoshanay Henderson scored a game-high 18 points to lead Odessa High, with Donajan Watkins added 12 in the loss.
The Lady Bronchos trailed by nine (28-19) at halftime and opened the third quarter with a 6-2 run to pull within five (30-25) with five minutes remaining in the quarter.
The Lady Tigers responded with a 12-4 run to move out to a double-digit lead (44-29) with 1:07 remaining in the quarter.
Wolfforth Frenship made seven 3-pointers on the night and went 15 of 18 from the free throw line.
