COMMERCE The UTPB men’s basketball team fell in its regular-season final Saturday to Texas A&M-Commerce 85-56 in Lone Star Conference action.
The Falcons (22-5 overall, 14-4 LSC) allowed 45 or more second-half points for the second game in a row. UTPB has also lost multiple games in a row for the first time this season.
Commerce’s Willie Rooks led all scorers with 24 points. Josh Morris led UTPB with 18. The Lions shot 53.4 percent from the field in the game.
UTPB will be the No. 2 seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. It faces seventh-seeded Midwestern State in the quarterfinals Friday in Frisco.
