UTPB’s Sangha Park was named the Lone Star Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week Thursday.
The senior from Cheongju, South Korea came from behind to win the RJGA South Central Shootout Individual title by four strokes, posting a 10-under 206 (70-69-67).
The senior’s 67, which included an eagle, was the lowest score posted for the final round and tied for the second lowest round among the 70 golfers.
Park also finished with a tournament-best of 16 birdies and led individuals in Par 4 scoring at 3.87.
The victory was the third for Park in two seasons at UTPB.
