COLLEGE FOOTBALL: UTPB puts up 86 points in road win at Southwest Baptist

BOLIVAR, MO. The UTPB football team once again put up more than 80 points on an opponent this season.

The Falcons defeated Southwest Baptist 86-7 Saturday in Bolivar, Mo. in a nonconference game.

With the win, the Falcons improved to 2-1 while the Bearcats fell to 1-2.

UTPB led 16-0 at the end of the first quarter and 44-0 at halftime. The Falcons put up 21 points each in the third and fourth quarters.

The 86 points were the second highest in school history with the school record being the 96 points UTPB put up against Texas College in Week 1.

UTPB will face West Texas A&M to begin Lone Star Conference play at 6 p.m. next week at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland.
