HOBBS, N.M. The Odessa College men’s basketball team defeated New Mexico Junior College by a 100-77 score to stay unbeaten in Western Junior College Athletic Conference play Thursday.
Four players had double-digit scoring lines for the Wranglers, with Garfield Turner leading the way with 16 points.
The Wranglers built up their lead early, closing out the first half with a 16-point advantage.
Odessa College outscored the Thunderbirds 47-40 in the second half to seal the win.
Daniss Jenkins recorded a double-double in the contest, scoring 15 points to go with 13 assists, while former Wrangler Jordan Booker led the Thunderbirds with 23 points.
It was Odessa College’s 10th straight win, with their last loss coming on Nov. 24 against Northwest Florida State College.
Odessa College (18-5 overall, 9-0 conference) will host Clarendon College at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the OC Sports Center.
