Elijah’s sports: Football; Track and Field
His favorite: Track and Field. “Because I get to run my fastest against other kids.”
On his best coaches: “I have three for each sport.
Coach Spank, because he believed in me in football and what I could do on the field.
Coach Richard & Felix because they are helping me become a better runner and qualify for events.”
Elijah’s best sports memory: “When I was on the PBYFL Panthers and I got to score a touchdown.”
Who is the greatest pro athlete: Patrick Mahomes.
“Because he is the quarterback for my favorite team , Kansas City Chiefs, and he’s from Texas.”
Elijah appreciates his family. His grandparents, Linda & Brian Voss , “they take me outside and practice throwing the football with me.”
And his mom, Amanda Voss. “She takes me to all my practices and cheers me on at my games and meets. “
Elijah says one of his dreams is to run in Nationals and win first place.
Elijah has played with the PBYFL ALL-Star team in 2021. He also:
>> Qualified for State to run the 100m & 200m run with the West Texas Track Club.
>> Qualified for Nationals to run the 100m & 200m run in Greensboro, NC with the West Texas Track Club.
>> Played in the ECISD City Chess Tournament 2021-2022.
>> Competed with Milam Magnet in the ECISD Bluebonnet Battle 2021-2022.
>> Straight A student at Milam Magnet 2021-2022.
What is the coolest thing about Elijah?: “The coolest thing about me is I always try my best in athletics and academics and I don’t give up.”
