When all else fails, Christmas is right around the corner. Many times we buy things that are assemble yourself things. We struggle with the nuts and bolts, saying there aren’t enough pieces, or there are too many pieces. We have all been there. Whatever the case may be, the object just doesn’t seem to come together. We finally come to the place we say, “When all else Fails”—“Read the directions.”
Life is like that. Sometimes we struggle with the nuts and bolts of life and nothing seems right. Seems like everything we do turns bad; can’t get ahead no matter what we do. Then rejection, depression failure, poverty and whatever else comes. The thought comes “Where is our victory where is our hope?” –“God Where are You”—“When all else fails read the directions.”
The one who created us has a perfect plan for putting our life together. He had a plan for us before we were born. He formed us in our mother’s womb. You are not an accident, and God don’t make junk. You are special. There is no one else just like you. That’s why even our fingerprints are different. God has plans for you that are far beyond anything you could ever imagine. If we can believe Him, He said “No pestilence shall come neigh your dwelling” —“Nothing Formed against you will prosper”—“You have authority over all power of the enemy.” That word means much more than sickness and poverty. Trust Him and He will bring you through!
God has a book of directions — it is called the Bible. He said. “ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.” [Luke 11:9] The Lord told me, People Pray dedicated prayers. They know I can do all things. When they pray they seriously want it to happen, but many do not release faith and really expect anything to happen. Faith with expectancy has almost been lost.
Jesus is the word. He was made flesh and came to Earth and dwelt here with mankind [John 1: 1 and 14]. The Bible was recorded for our directions to life and life abundant. The choice is ours; if we do what the word says we can come to a place of victory. This is no game we play, it is a lifestyle. Salvation from hell to heaven is a free gift. If we have really received that free gift of Jesus, we will desire to ask, seek and knock for the directions to please Him, to have victory here in this life. Expect answers to Prayers. Praying according to His word and not our selfish will.
I gave myself to Him in 1971 and have grown to the place to tell you there is true joy in nothing else. We have to push through the barrier of self, put out the effort to put Him first, but there is a place in Jesus where it’s fun being a Christian. When He is truly first in our life, there is no TV show, no game, no drug, no fleshly excitement that can give the high that Jesus can through His precious Holy Spirit.
Over two thousand years ago, God gave the greatest Gift there will ever be, and we don’t even have to assemble it. We just need to read the directions to understand how to receive that Gift. A gift always has to be received. This Christmas, “When All Else Fails” why not receive the most awesome Gift there ever was or ever will be. His Name is Jesus.
