LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Crow doesn’t speak for all Republicans

This letter was emailed to Tisha Crow regarding her mismanagement of County Republican information and power. Please print in the Odessa American, since it is mostly public information about Crow’s illegal actions.

Chairman Tisha Crow

Ector County Republican Party of Texas

February 26, 2022

Do you realize that you have no power at all over anyone who wants to run on the Republican ticket for state office? That person can choose to run on the Republican ticket, as long as he/she passes the criteria for holding office in the state. You also have no power as a Republican County officer, about city government. If you want to appear before the city council, go as a private citizen. The people on the city council ran as private citizens and are not obligated in any way to either the Republican or Democratic Party.

I wish you would cool your jets. Do some studying about what you can and can not do as an elected official. Remember you were not elected by anyone but Republicans, and just a few of them. I am a lifelong Republican, but you do not represent my way of thinking. I am sometimes embarrassed by things you say. You have no power to ask for Landgraf’s resignation, on behalf of the Republican Party. You do not represent the entire Republican Party of Ector County. When Landgraf said “the truth will prevail” and he would not be baited by Casey Gray’s claims of affairs, he would not get engaged in mudslinging attacks, or political attacks against him and his family. Do you know what he meant by that? He meant that he did not want Casey Gray controlling his (Landgraf’s) campaign. I am surprised you have gotten yourself embroiled in this. If you are so worried about Landgraf’s honesty, when he tells you he is not guilty of these accusations, why are you favoring Casey Gray when he has so many accusations about his treatment of his wife and of his paying child support? I do not even know you. I think I would find that we have much in common, but I do not approve of some of your methods.

Sincerely,

Gradene Barham
