GUEST VIEW: Andrews Mayor thanks, supports Landgraf

Representative Brooks Landgraf has been an incredible voice for Andrews. We are so sad that our county will no longer be in House District 81 because Brooks has always worked hard for us. His proven leadership and his knowledge of our region and its unique needs has been an asset to the City of Andrews and the region.

Regardless of whether Andrews is in his district, I know Brooks will continue to fight for what is best for Andrews and the Permian Basin. I know Andrews can count on his continued support.

Brooks has fought hard to bring State revenues generated in west Texas back to west Texas. Not only has he fought hard against recapture which takes funds away from our school district, he has also been instrumental in increasing funding for much-needed repairs to our region’s roadways.

When COVID-19 hit, Brooks and his staff were incredibly helpful in providing the City and County with information and resources from the State. It was a dark time, but having strong representation at the Texas Capitol was a bright light during those difficult times. Brooks has always been serious about communicating with and serving his Andrews County constituents.

Every step of the way, Brooks has stood for West Texas values, supporting efforts to protect the unborn, secure the border and defend Permian Basin energy jobs. I know I am not alone when I wish him and his family all the best as Andrews County comes under a new House District in 2023. Until then, we are thankful to have Brooks Landgraf as our state representative.

Flora Braly,

Mayor of Andrews
