After a lengthy delay, the Permian High School football team’s scheduled scrimmage against Amarillo High School was cancelled due to lightning Friday evening at Ratliff Stadium. The game was due to take place at 6 p.m. at the Ratliff Stadium practice fields but after a series of delays that would have caused the game to begin after 8 p.m., the scrimmage was called off.
