County could extend local wildfire disaster

The Ector County Commissioners Court will discuss extending the Declaration of Local Disaster related to Wildfires and also lost revenue of $10 million in accordance with American

Rescue Plan Funds Final Rule during their regular meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the commissioners courtroom at the Ector County Administration Annex, Room 120, 1010 East Eighth St.

Commissioners will also discuss:

>>To consider, discuss, and take any necessary action on the Measurement and Verification of the Infrastructure Improvements for Ector County from Jennifer Edwards with Johnson Controls.

>>To consider, discuss, and take any necessary action regarding a presentation by GCC Permian, LLC on a request for a Tax Abatement Application in Ector County.

>>To approve a proclamation declaring April 24–30 as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

>>To consider, discuss, and take any necessary action on the City of Odessa Fire Rescue proposal to conduct a Community Risk Assessment to include Ector County in this joint risk assessment in the amount of $3,000.

>>To accept a $100 Donation from Kenneth Haynes for the Ector County Sheriff’s Office.

>>To consider repairing fence and gate damaged due to the expansion of Cottonwood Road in Gardendale.

>>To consider Notice of General Primary Joint Runoff

Election, Early Voting Schedule, and Ector County Vote Centers for Joint Primary Runoff Election.

>>To discuss necessary action regarding the County

Infrastructure Fund Grant (CTIF) 2022 Seal Coat Bid request.

>>To consider an application for Texas State Library

Accreditation.

>>To consider any necessary action regarding an Agreement for Supplemental Staffing

between Ector County Detention Center/Ector County Sheriff’s Office and First Choice Medical

Staffing LLC.

They are also scheduled for an executive session to discuss personnel matters, real estate issues and legal issues.
