Woman identified in Hobbs accident

A 19-year-old Hobbs, N.M., woman was identified as the person fatally struck by a vehicle Oct. 28 near the intersection of French and Sanger.

A news release said the next of kin has been notified.

Hobbs Police Department Detectives believe the vehicle involved could possibly be a black Nissan Rogue with heavy front end damage, the release said.

On Oct. 28, officers with the Hobbs Police Department responded near the intersection of French/Sanger in reference to a subject on the ground near the roadway. Upon arrival, the subject was unresponsive and showed no signs of life, the release said.

Hobbs Police Department Detectives responded and discovered the subject had been fatally struck by a vehicle.
