A 20-year-old Odessa woman was arrested Thursday after admitting she had sex with a boy she knew was 13-years-old.
According to an Odessa Police Department report, an anonymous caller contacted police Thursday to say they knew Alyssa Rene Baeza was in a romantic relationship with a 13-year-old boy and the pair were having sex.
After being read her Miranda rights, Baeza acknowledged she was in a relationship with the boy and they’d had sex Valentine’s Day and Thursday, the report stated.
Originally, Baeza said she thought the boy was 18, but then admitted she knew he was 13, the report stated.
The boy told a forensic interviewer at Harmony Home Children’s Advocacy Center they’d had sex Thursday, the report stated.
Baeza was arrested on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault of a child. She remained in custody Friday night on a $50,000 surety bond.
