West Odessan accused of threatening wife with knife

A 24-year-old West Odessa man was arrested Saturday after his wife accused him of threatening to stab her.

According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, dispatchers received a disturbance call from the 600 block of Breckenridge.

When deputies arrived, a 20-year-old woman said she was arguing with her husband, Brian Hernandez Levario, at their residence on North Redondo Avenue when he grabbed her jaw and began squeezing it, the report stated.

When she tried to leave, the woman said Levario took out a knife he carries on him in a sheath, and told her if she kept trying to leave their bedroom he’d stab her, the report stated.

The woman told deputies she feared he’d seriously hurt or kill her, the report stated.

Deputies found a knife matching the description given by Levario’s wife in his vehicle, according to the report.

Levario was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remained in the Ector County jail Tuesday on a $50,000 surety bond.
