Odessa’s famous Starbright Village will kickoff this Thursday with a ceremony.
Mayor Javier Joven will light the village at 6:30 p.m. after performances by local choirs and dance groups and an appearance by Santa Claus in McKinney Park at 625 N. Pool Rd., adjacent to Interstate 20.
The Starbright Village Christmas Light will run through Jan. 2 and will feature a new animated fireworks display.
The hours for the display each night will be from 6-11 p.m.
Admission is free but donations are welcome to keep the event free and add new displays for next year.
