Sauceda Ranger Station at Big Bend Ranch State Park reduces services temporarily

TERLINGUA The Sauceda Ranger Station in the interior of the Big Bend Ranch State Park Complex is temporarily reducing services. No merchandise or permit sales will be processed at that location and visitors must secure day-use and camping permits at the Barton Warnock Visitor Center or Fort Leaton State Historic Site prior to entering the park interior.

Visitors planning to visit the Big Bend Ranch State Park interior should arrive prepared, purchasing all necessary permits, backcountry supplies, and maps before entering the park interior. Permits may also be purchased online by visiting https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/. Valid permits must be displayed at all times while within the park boundary, a news release said.

Sauceda Ranger Station will have administrative staff on-site daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer questions and respond to emergencies. Big Bend Ranch State Park’s River Corridor Visitor Centers, Barton Warnock and Fort Leaton State Historic Site, are open daily 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
