BUNNY TIME IS COMING

The Easter Spring Fling is scheduled to begin when the Easter bunny arrives at 10 a.m. April 8. The egg hunt won’t start until 11 a.m. and then kite flying after the hunt at Sherwood Park, 4819 N. Everglade.

The City of Odessa event includes music, crafts, candy and prizes to win.

The event is free and will also have golden Easter eggs for premium prizes.


MEALS ON WHEELS

Eat mudbugs for charity during the 23rd Annual Mudbug on April 11 presented by Sewell Ford at Ector County Coliseum Barn G to benefit Odessa’s Meals on Wheels.

Meals on Wheels of Odessa serves almost 600 clients a day with hot, nutritious meals each weekday and pantry items for the weekend.

Join the Mudbug for an evening of fun and friendship to raise money to feed homebound seniors and the disabled of Ector County.

There will be crispy fried catfish and all the fixins, delicious peel and eat shrimp, hush puppies and of course the star of the show, all the way from the bayous of Louisiana, MUDBUGS!

Big Daddy’s Grill & Bar is helping with the food.


WEST TEXAS SYMPHONY

The West Texas Symphony will be putting on a special concert later this month in Odessa.

The show “Downtown Classics” will take place at 7:30 p.m. March 24 at the Ector Theatre.

The concert was recently added to the symphony’s 2022-23 season, which usually performs at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center, and will feature innovative classical favorites.

This season has marked the 60th anniversary of the West Texas Symphony and its first under its new name.

The West Texas Symphony will be back at the Wagner Noël with its Masterworks Series concert “Rachmaninoff” featuring Caroline Hong on piano on April 15.

The symphony will conclude its season with “Back to the Future in Concert” on May 20 at the Wagner Noël which is a part of the Pops and Family Series.
