UPDATED: Pedestrian killed early Sunday in Midland

The Midland Police Department is investigating a crash that took the life of a 43-year-old man early Sunday morning.

According to a news release, MPD received a 911 call around 2 a.m. from the 200 block of East Florida Avenue about a pedestrian being hit. When first responders arrived they found the man deceased.

It is believed Noee Robles of Midland was trying to cross the road from the north side of the street to the south when he was hit by a westbound vehicle, the news release stated. He was not in a crosswalk.

Authorities are withholding his name until his family has been notified.
