Pedestrian dies following collision

A 51-year-old man died following a vehicle-pedestrian collision Feb. 3, according to Midland police.

The Midland Police Department reported that around 7:05 p.m. a Red Toyota Tundra was traveling west in the outside lane of Golf Course Road, approaching the intersection of Culver. A pedestrian — later identified as David Prousser — was in the roadway wearing dark-colored clothing, according to MPD, and the driver of the Tundra did not see Prousser and struck him, a news release said.

Prousser was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to MPD.

The driver of the Tundra was released. The investigation is ongoing.
