Odessa East Rotary Club hosts paper goods drive

The Odessa East Rotary Club hosted a paper goods drive to support the clients of Meals on Wheels of Odessa.

Members gathered at Meals on Wheels of Odessa on Wednesday evening to assemble the products to be distributed. Each Meals on Wheels of Odessa client will receive a care package with paper towels and toilet tissue.

“Although we are passed the craziness of the great toilet paper shortage of 2020, these items remain costly for the homebound seniors and disabled clients we serve,” Craig Stoker, executive director of Meals on Wheels of Odessa, stated in the press release. “We are so grateful to the Odessa East Rotary Club for collecting these paper goods and I know these items will be a blessing to our clients.”

Meals on Wheels of Odessa serves over 620 homebound seniors and disabled clients each weekday, and provides shelf stable meals for the weekend. Without the generous support of local organizations like the Odessa East Rotary Club, Meals on Wheels of Odessa could not provide the extras like the paper goods that were donated.
