The intersection at North Midkiff Road and West Wadley Avenue will temporarily close overnight between 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. for essential road improvement work. Work will begin on Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. and is expected to last throughout the week, contingent upon weather conditions and barring any unforeseen issues.
The intersection closures will rotate in a counterclockwise manner:
- Monday, Oct. 16 – West Side of Intersection: Closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 17 – South Side of Intersection: Closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 18 – East Side of Intersection: Closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 19 – North Side of Intersection: Closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
This temporary closure addresses the bumps in the road where asphalt and concrete meet on each side of the intersection. One side of the intersection will be completely closed to all traffic each night, forming a “T” intersection.
Motorists should plan their routes accordingly and exercise caution when traveling through the affected area.
